About the role

Don't want a full-time job right now? Love physical work and winter weather? This role could be for you.

This a PART Time job with no guaranteed hours

On-call snow crew members typically work 30-50 hours a month, and must be available for every snow event, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. They receive a small amount standby pay for being available, and a retention bonus for completing the whole season.

YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

  • Live near Okotoks for an easy commute in winter weather

  • Want part-time work with irregular hours

  • Already own winter gear like boots, a parka, and gloves

  • Can handle early morning shifts (often 5 AM starts), including weekends and holidays

  • Have experience with outdoor, physical work – or are ready to try!

ROLE DETAILS:

  • On-call from November 11 to April 13

  • Work in pairs with snow throwers, blowers, spreaders, and shovels

  • Apply ice melt to sidewalks, entrances, and stairs

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Physically fit and ready to work in tough conditions
  • Snow removal experience is a plus, but not required
