About the role

Job Title: Inventory Planner (Retail Allocation & Merchandising)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada(Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote) Contract: 12 Months

About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Planner to support a fast-paced retail planning and allocation team. In this role, you will help ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time by managing inventory flow from distribution centers to stores across Canada.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and contributing to operational efficiency in a retail environment.

What You’ll Do

Manage and update purchase orders (POs) and ensure accuracy across systems Maintain and validate SKU-level inventory data, ensuring alignment across platforms Support inventory allocation and replenishment from distribution centers to stores Monitor and troubleshoot data discrepancies, ensuring strong data integrity Assist with forecasting and stock level analysis to support business decisions Update and maintain reporting for planning and allocation teams Partner cross-functionally with distribution center teams, store operations, and finance Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes

What You Bring

2+ years of experience in inventory planning, merchandising, retail operations, or data analysis Experience working with large datasets, including data entry, validation, and reconciliation Understanding of retail math (e.g., sell-through, inventory turns, stock levels) Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve data issues Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic analysis) Strong communication and organizational skills

Nice to Have

Experience in retail, apparel, footwear, or consumer goods industries Exposure to allocation, replenishment, or demand planning processes Familiarity with ERP or retail systems (e.g., SAP or similar platforms) Experience supporting multi-store or omnichannel retail operations
