Job Description:
The RV Park Outside Attendant ensures that the RV park grounds are safe, clean, and visually appealing for guests. This position involves general maintenance, landscaping, light repairs, and delivering excellent guest service. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and enjoys working outdoors in a guest-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure cleanliness in the park, including campsites, public areas, restrooms, and shared facilities.
- Perform landscaping tasks like mowing lawns, trimming trees, raking leaves, and watering plants.
- Manage small maintenance tasks (e.g., painting, basic repairs, power washing).
- Assist with site preparation for guest arrivals, ensuring that hookups are accessible and the spaces are clean.
- Gather trash and recycling from around the campground and dispose of it appropriately.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to management.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, responding to their inquiries and requests.
- Adhere to KOA safety regulations and campground policies.
- Assist with campground events and guest activities as needed.
- Use small machinery and tools safely and responsibly.
- Help with campground signs and directional markers.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance is preferred.
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Fundamental understanding of operating maintenance equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers).
- Outstanding interpersonal abilities and a cheerful disposition.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Understanding Indigenous culture and local attractions is beneficial.
- Understanding KOA campground policies is beneficial.
Conditions of Employment
Available to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. It also necessitates time spent working outdoors, which may involve inclement weather. The position will require standing and walking for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
