HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated reporting package in accordance with IFRS or US GAAP
- Analyze complex accounting issues, research and summarize financial analysis and provide recommendations of accounting treatment in accordance with IFRS
- Prepare filings for US and Canadian Corporate Income Tax while responding to all external inquiries
- Perform monthly bank reconciliation, monitor bank balance and manage cash forecast
- File monthly, quarterly and annual bank covenant reports and all VAT, GST/HST, US State Sales and US tax returns while maintaining accuracy of customer exemptions
- Support month-end close by reviewing and posting complex journal entries, accruals, allocations and other duties as assigned
- Monitor monthly inventory balances and related Cost of Goods Sold account to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Update monthly actual to budgets and liaise with department partners to ensure coding is accurate and any variances are reasonable
- Coordinate and claim R&D tax incentives and government funding
- Lead quarterly interim reviews and annual audit
- Submit all statutory and regulatory filings as required in Canada and USA
WHAT YOU BRING
- A CPA designation with experience in audit and tax
- Post-secondary education in business administration, accounting, finance or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards such as IFRS, application of standards and overall financial statement presentation
- Previous experience using large ERP systems
- Experience working with numerous share capital and stock options
- Proficiency with MS Office with an emphasis on Excel (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Previous manufacturing experience with exposure to complex Bill of Materials (BOMS) is ideal
- Experience working in a public company is preferred
- Experience with tax software (Avalara), US sales tax and US GAAP is considered an asset

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:
$85,000-95,000
