About the role
What you’ll be doing

Lead & support automation projects during planning, execution, and commissioning phases.

Manage project activities to ensure goals are met on time and within budget.

Work with diverse stakeholders such as operations, maintenance, procurement, contractors, engineering firms, and regulatory agencies.

Troubleshoot electrical systems, including panels, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and automated controls.

Safeguard and maintain electrical control engineering documentation, PLC/HMI software backups, and drive parameters.

Manage and update engineering software on controls and drives.
-
Prepare and present project reports for management and stakeholders.
-
Oversee technical content for procedures and control programming during OEM training.

Maintain and optimize plant automation systems, including ASRS, conveyor control, and industrial robotics.

Design and update electrical schematics in AutoCAD for equipment modifications.
-
Provide technical training & support for plant maintenance teams.

Solve real-world technical challenges from single machines to full production lines and greenfield facilities.
What we’re looking for
- Proven track record of delivering automation projects on time and on budget.
- 1–2 years’ experience in automation engineering or project management in manufacturing.
- Degree/diploma in Electrical/Controls Engineering, Industrial Automation, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron), SCADA/HMI, robotics, drives, automated conveyors, and industrial networks.
- Ability to read and program PLC code, configure drives, and interpret electrical/pneumatic drawings.
- Proactive problem solver with a high sense of ownership.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and project management tools (MS Suite).
- Willingness to travel and work independently on-site.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet).
- Experience in the corrugated or packaging industry.
