Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic invites applications for the position of:

TEACHER – LONG TERM OCCASIONAL (LTO)

ST. JOSEPH-SCOLLARD HALL

1.0 (Three Sections - Semester 1)

DCO3O – Creating Opportunities Through Cooperative Education – Two Sections

Grade 11 - BAF3M – University/College Financial Accounting Fundamentals - One Section

Effective immediately**,** until approx****imately December 12**,** 2025 and not to extend beyond January 30**, 2026**

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Basic qualifications to teach in the Intermediate and Senior Divisions – Business
  • Qualifications in Cooperative Education

Preferred Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed division and subject area
  • Honours degree and/or subject qualification in the related subject areas would be considered an asset.
  • Special Education Part I would be considered an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of Cooperative Education programs and related policies and procedures, as well as a demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with community partners
  • Ability to implement a shared vision consistent with the principles of Catholic education and integrating the Catholic Graduate Expectations within the curriculum.
  • Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
  • Demonstrated knowledge of how students learn effectively with a repertoire of proven instructional and assessment practices.
  • Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and collaboration around the school's Student Achievement Plan through school-based PLC's, department meetings, co-planning and co-teaching.
  • Knowledge, experience and proven ability in utilizing differentiated instructional approaches within the classroom that support effective instruction, wellbeing, equity and inclusion.
  • Flexibility to be assigned to other subject areas as the need arises.
  • Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies.
  • Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties.
  • Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school community.
