Mission

You will report to the Director of Solutions Delivery and work closely with the Senior Business Analyst to support the planning, analysis, and delivery of technology solutions across Panago. You will help translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and contribute to the design and implementation of solutions that improve operational efficiency and customer experience. This role provides an excellent foundation for growth in business analysis and software delivery within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry.

Impact

  • Work collaboratively with the Solutions Delivery team of IT and cross-functional Panago teams to document and clarify business needs.

  • Develop detailed business requirements and software product specifications that address customer and business objectives.

  • Research and analyze information, supporting and facilitating discussions among business and IT stakeholders to document agreements and findings.

  • Draw insights from analysis activities and produce high-quality documentation using appropriate techniques (e.g., BRD, Use Cases, UML diagrams, Business Case Analysis, Process Maps, etc.).

  • Provide clarification and support to project management, development, testing, operations, and support teams to ensure correct interpretation of requirements and successful solution delivery.

  • Assist in elaborating features and user stories for the development team.

  • Assist in triaging reported issues and documenting enhancement requests, documenting clear, actionable enhancement request.

  • Participate in business process analysis and re-engineering initiatives to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Contribute to testing and implementation efforts to ensure acceptance criteria are met and solutions meet business needs. Support testing and implementation activities to ensure requirements are understood and acceptance criteria are met.

  • Develop understanding of business processes, systems and data to support analysis activities.

Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (experience in food or retail industries is an asset). A high GPA is mandatory.

  • Up to 2 years of experience in software development, implementation initiatives, or similar technology-related projects.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. Ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and support problem-solving efforts.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; proficient in Microsoft tools and familiar with visualization or documentation tools (e.g., Visio or similar).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and documentation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, or similar).

  • Ability to produce clear, structured, and well-organized documentation.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other business and technical team members.

  • Motivated and proactive, with a demonstrated interest in continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Organized able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies is an asset.

  • Progress toward IIBA ECBA certification or equivalent is an asset.

Technical Skills

  • Basic understanding of business and system requirements and exposure to documenting them using techniques such as user stories, use cases, or process models.

  • Foundational knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and how requirements support delivery.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and exposure to backlog activities such as documenting or refining user stories.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams) for documentation and communication.

  • Familiarity with collaboration and requirements tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence or similar).

  • Exposure to process modeling or visualization techniques (e.g., basic UML or BPMN concepts).

  • Comfortable working with data in spreadsheets; basic data analysis or querying is an asset.

  • Basic awareness of system concepts such as APIs, integrations, and databases is an asset.

Additional Details

-This is a remote position with occasional in-person attendance required for team evenings and meetings at our Abbotsford Head Office and on-site store visits when needed. -Please provide academic transcript or academic grade report along with resume.
