About the role
Reporting to the Design Team Lead, the Designer will be responsible for the creative development process, from receiving customer briefs to delivering compelling designs that align with brand perspectives and needs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct ongoing trend and concept research to inform seasonal direction and market relevance
- Create compelling stories, inspirational mood boards, color palettes, and material samples to support new design concepts
Design Execution & CAD Development
- Manage the design process from initial concept to final styling, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and seasonal objectives
- Responsible for developing detailed CAD sketches, conducting design research, and presenting design iterations
- Propose and select appropriate fabrics and trims that align with product functionality and brand aesthetics
Technical Design & Product Development
- Create and maintain detailed tech packs, ensuring accurate documentation of specifications, materials, and construction
- Support data entry and tech pack management in PLM systems (e.g., BlueCherry) as needed Approvals & Presentation
- Present final styling and packaging concepts to the Merchandise team and other business unit stakeholders for approval
- Participate in product approval processes, ensuring all deliverables meet internal standards and timelines

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in apparel or fashion design
- Expertise knowledge of CAD software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools)
- Familiarity with PLM systems (BlueCherry or similar platforms)
- Strong knowledge in tech pack development, garment construction, and material selection
- Hands-on experience with CLO 3D and other leading 3D software tools
- Solid understanding of fashion trends, consumer preferences, and product positioning
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both visual and verbal
- Experience collaborating with packaging or branding teams is a strong asset
- Knowledge of garment types such as underwear, and lounge/sleepwear is highly preferred
