Job Code: 21064 Status : Part Time

Location : Providence Care Hospital

Union : OPSEU 4104 Service Clerical

Wage : $27.51 - $28.40/hr

Posting Period : December 19, 2025 - December 28, 2025 Following Providence Care and Mohawk Medbuy policy and leading supply chain practices, the Supply/Receiving Attendant is responsible for all supply related activities from receipt to final delivery of the supplies to their intended destination within the organization.

Education & Experience

  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma required
  • Successful completion of one post-secondary level course in Operations, Supply Chain or Materiel Management or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum one year experience in a medium to large warehouse/production/materiel management setting, preferably in a Healthcare environment
  • Certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods or the ability to acquire certification within the trial period, required

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Replenish and maintain unit supply storage locations ensuring proper supply levels are maintained to meet customer demand

  • Liaise with customers, receivers, purchasing and other staff in Hospital Operations in order to avoid supply disruptions

  • Accountability for accurate and prompt receipt of materials at the Hospital’s receiving dock

  • Inspecting and verifying goods received against shipping documents and purchase orders;

  • ensuring goods are in acceptable condition

  • reporting any defects, shortages, over shipments, unit of measure discrepancies or any situation that could compromise the material or accuracy of the purchase

  • Responsibility for the return or removal of expired, damaged and/or recalled products

  • Ensuring shipping authorizations and shipping documents are properly prepared and archived

  • Ensuring the safe handling and distribution of controlled substances and chemicals throughout the institution
