Responsibilities
- Delivering quality, specialized services in accordance to Supported Lifestyles’ mission, philosophy, agency and position standards
- Providing support to individuals through community integration, skill learning, and positive quality of life
- Providing assistance to individuals in service (e.g., behavioural and emotional support, data collection, implementation of behavioural support plans, etc.)
- Participating in community and recreational pursuits with individuals in service
- Medication administration and documentation
- Participating in the general upkeep of the group home
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience working with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges
- Experience providing behavioural supports
- Experience providing personal care (e.g. assisting with bathing or toileting and personal hygiene)
- Post-secondary education in a related field an asset (e.g., human services, social work, psychology etc.)
- Ability to work in a team environment
Typical Schedule
We have several shifts available to suit all lifestyles! Shifts typically fall between 09:00-15:00, 15:00-21:00, 09:00-21:00 (weekends) and 21:00-09:00 (overnights). We have shifts during weekdays, weekends, and overnight, though preference will be given to those with weekend availability. We offer a variety of full-time, part-time, and relief opportunities, with the option to pick up additional shifts. We support individuals in all quadrants of the city (NE, NW, SE, SW).
