Job Description
The Kitchen Operations Specialist is the main connection between all BOH departments. They are a highly organized and highly detailed person who thrives on an ever-changing workday. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, this person also has a good foundation of culinary experience that will be utilized in this role.

Supports Executive Chef and the Chefs’ Team with daily BOH operations

Collecting & distributing recipes & ingredients between outlets
-
Enters and maintains recipes into Eataly’s database software
-
Main point of contact for each BOH outlet for ordering

Maintaining the order guides, logs, transfers sheets and SOPs in place for BOH outlets
-
Oversees monthly inventories - assists Chefs’ Team in counting the products, enters the data into the systems, analyzes the gaps
-
Receiving Purchase Orders from other stores and processing orders for shipment
-
Act as a liaison between all inter-store departments & BOH
-
Basic cooking when required during certain periods in production kitchen
-
Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience involving kitchen operations
- Degree from a culinary arts training program preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Good knife skills and finger dexterity to use small tools and utensils adeptly
- Use & understanding of basic computer programs, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
Job Requirements

Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
-
Ability to work with commercial equipment including stand mixers, ovens, torches, etc.
