About The Role MLHD is seeking a Level 3 Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist to lead evidence-based clinical initiatives for patients with chronic and life-limiting conditions across the Murrumbidgee Local Health District. Advanced clinical reasoning and the ability to work autonomously are essential.

Key Deliverables

  • Lead development of virtual and community-based chronic care initiatives, driving service improvement and better clinical outcomes
  • Identify and implement cost-effective, evidence-based models of care aligned with contemporary policy
  • Provide expert physiotherapy/exercise physiology consultation to MLHD staff across chronic disease management
  • Mentor and supervise multidisciplinary staff managing clients with chronic conditions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and activity statistics in line with KPIs and NSW Health Directives
  • Champion cultural competence and improved health outcomes for Aboriginal people through community-led engagement
  • Maintain professional development through ongoing education, clinical supervision, and evidence-based practice

Our Ideal Candidate Will

  • Be a qualified Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist with current AHPRA registration or ESSA membership eligibility
  • Have advanced clinical knowledge in chronic medical conditions, (respiratory , heart failure, diabetes, progressive degenerative disorders, dementia) with experience managing exercise and rehabilitation programs
  • Be confident providing clinical consultation and supporting other clinicians, with virtual rehabilitation experience highly regarded
  • Have proven leadership skills including mentoring, decision-making, negotiation, and advocacy
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and deliver education and training
  • Holds a current NSW Working with Children Check, National Police Check, Class C Drivers Licence and Vaccination Category A compliance
