Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Allocation oversees the strategic distribution of inventory to maximize profitability and meet global demand. This role is designed for a growth-oriented leader who can move beyond technical execution to provide high-level data storytelling and team mentorship. You will manage complex international supply chains, including multiple Distribution Centres (DCs) and 3PL partners, while empowering your team to act as strategic partners to the Buying and Planning departments.
Main Responsibilities:
-**Strategic Allocation & Global Planning:**Define and implement inventory strategies across international store networks, aligning product distribution with regional sales goals and unique market financial objectives. -**Advanced Data Storytelling:**Analyze complex data sets to find the "narrative within the numbers." Actively teach and mentor allocators on how to translate raw data into actionable business insights and persuasive visual stories. -**Network Optimization:**Manage the flow of goods from multiple DCs and 3PL partners, ensuring inventory is balanced across the global network to prevent inventory aging and maximize sell-through. -**Leadership, Growth & Advocacy:**Supervise and upskill the Allocation team. Foster a culture of assertive collaboration, mentoring allocators to advocate for optimal inventory productivity and navigate cross-functional negotiations with confidence and data-driven insights. -**Strategic Cross-Functional Collaboration:**Partner broadly across the organization to execute seamless assortment strategies, working closely with key stakeholders to align on stock priorities. Serve as a unifying lead to navigate inventory constraints, maximizing sell-through while protecting overall company margin. -**System Evolution:**Develop and optimize allocation systems and best practices, ensuring the department is geared for rapid scalability and digital transformation.
Qualifications:
-**Experience:**8+ years of experience in retail planning or allocation, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. -**Education:**Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field. -**Global Logistics Savvy:**Demonstrated expertise in managing inventory across international markets and effectively navigating the complexities of diverse logistics and distribution networks. -**Exceptional Communication:**Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to coach and empower teams to confidently share perspectives and influence cross-functional partners through clear, data-driven insights. -**Analytical Excellence:**Advanced ability to interpret and synthesize complex data sets, paired with a strong growth mindset. Continuously identifies opportunities to improve margins, optimize efficiency, and drive better business outcomes through data-driven insights.
