Your contribution!
Reporting to the Director - Human Resources and Talent Acquisition. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with employee and management needs for a designated region. Provides guidance on a wide scope of human resource issues: employee relations, performance management, employee retention, onboarding, offboarding, policy interpretation and employment law compliance.
Your day-to-day!
- Build partnerships with all levels of employees within the organization, particularly with managers to provide guidance in managing their workforce;
- Coach and advise staff on solving problems and implementing solutions for performance management challenges;
- Provide guidance and input on corrective actions, corporate policy interpretation, business units restructuring, workforce planning and other workplace human resources challenges;
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Participate in and support the documentation of investigations of workplace complaints and allegations such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, and policy violations;
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance;
- Analyze latest HR trends and metrics in partnership with the department to develop solutions, programs and policies;
- Participate in optimizing employee engagement and mobilization and ensure a positive working environment;
Your skills, our requirements!
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience;
- Professional HR certification, an asset;
- Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws;
- Fluent in English and French;
- Available to travel occasionally;
- Experience in working with Canadian and US employment standards.

- The position is based at the Vancouver (BC) office.
- This position is a P3 level.

Pay Transparency Statement
Compensation for roles at Innergex varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, and level of experience. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share the base salary for the position is $85 000 - $102 000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired by Innergex, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
