About the role
The Assembler, Production Associate 2nd Stage will be responsible for assembly, inspection and repair processes involved in the manufacture of CWDS products. The successful candidate must be experienced in the handling of chemicals, components, tolling, soldering and de-soldering equipment and machines.

Your Challenge:
- Operate equipment efficiently following defined work schedule from area coordinator and following all Health & Safety guidelines
- Actively pursue and enhance good working relationships with Planning, Day/Evening Supervisors, Complex Repair team (Internal Customer and Supplier relationships) to support the Rework Center
- As a means of keeping communication lines open between the two shifts concerning the Rework Center, practice face-to-face exchanges on a daily basis
- Attend the daily production tier meetings
- Participate in the corporate Curtiss Wright Way Lean training program
- May contribute as a member of the Spill team, First Aid team and/or Health and Safety committee. Ensures all Safety and operating procedures are followed
- Responsible for all material handling duties
- Willing to support shift rotations as required
What You Bring:
- Preference given to individuals with 3-5 years working experience with a minimum of 3 years hands on work experience performing day to day production requirements in either one of the two areas, 2nd stage or Mechanical assembly
- A focused individual with demonstrated ability and experience within a low volume, high mix PWB assembly environment to minimize downtime and maximize output
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changes in the build schedule is required
- Good working knowledge of an ERP system
- SAP knowledge is a definite asset
- Technician Diploma or grade 12 with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of defect recognition for workmanship standards and requirements
- Knowledge of IPC-610 would be an asset
- Experience removing and replacing PTH or Fine pitch surface mount devices
- Experience applying ECOS to circuit cards
- Experience working with formal procedures and supporting documents
- Experience within a PWB assembly environment, preference given to direct experience working with SMT and PTH components under a microscope
- Good working knowledge of SAP and personal computers
- Experience with BGA and CGA type component removal and replacement would be an asset
- Experience with the Rework Process of circuit cards
