The Warehouse Associate Floater plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse by providing support wherever needed. This position is designed to be flexible, with the employee moving between different tasks and departments, such as receiving, order fulfillment, shipping, and inventory control, depending on operational needs. The Floater will work closely with other warehouse associates and supervisors to maintain an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

What you'll do
Responsibilities
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment based on customer orders. Assist in order processing during high-demand periods to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and organizing inventory, conducting stock counts, and ensuring product is stored correctly. Help maintain accurate inventory records.
- Receiving and Unloading: Receive incoming shipments, inspect goods for quality, and assist with unloading and placing items into appropriate storage areas. Ensure all receipts are documented properly.
- Material Handling: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move products throughout the warehouse. Ensure materials are transported safely and efficiently to the correct locations.
- Shipping and Receiving Support: Assist in preparing products for shipment, packaging, labeling, and verifying shipping orders. Help process returns or damaged items per company policies.
- Warehouse Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by ensuring that work areas are tidy, products are properly stored, and equipment is regularly checked and maintained.
- Safety and Compliance: Follow all warehouse safety protocols, including the safe operation of equipment and compliance with company policies. Report any safety hazards or issues to the supervisor.
- Documentation: Assist with maintaining accurate records for inventory movement, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving logs.
- Cross-Department Support: Provide coverage in various areas of the company as needed, including filling, support in other areas.
What you'll need
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Prior experience in warehouse or material handling preferred but not required. Flexibility to work in different roles is essential.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Basic math skills for inventory tracking and order fulfillment.
Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus (certification may be required).
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Adaptability and willingness to take on various tasks and move between different areas of the warehouse.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
Flexible hours may be required, including evenings and weekends as the role may vary depending on operational needs.
Ability to work in different warehouse areas (e.g., receiving, order picking, shipping) depending on demand.
