Job Details Primary Duties And Responsibilities

  • Leads the Quality team and manages the projects, customers and planning for the department
  • Leads the preparation of project quotes and requests for proposals (RFP) for clients as needed.
  • Plans, organizes, directs the operation of the Quality Assurance team
  • Supports the QA Innomar team as needed; ensure timely release of drug products.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with decision-makers within all departments to effectively achieve business results.
  • Directs and coordinates all departmental functions including oversight of the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the quality assurance department as applicable
  • Build and maintain a positive and productive liaison with internal and external contacts, including interfacing with potential clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify client issues and develop effective strategies.
  • Maintain and adhere to current GMP / GCP practices.
  • Assist with site GMP compliance
  • Facilitation of regulatory inspections for pharmaceutical and clinical sites through effective negotiation with regulatory agencies.
  • Facilitation of Quality Assurance activities for pharmaceutical, natural health product, cosmetic, food, veterinary and dietary supplement clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize, coordinate and complete multiple projects within established timeframes.
  • Presentation of client services and training seminars, as required.

Experience And Educational Requirements

  • B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Life Sciences (Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry or Pharmacy preferred) or extensive equivalent experience and related training.
  • 12 + years directly related industry experience in the following areas:
  • Quality Assurance or Compliance within the pharmaceutical industry

Minimum Skills, Knowledge And Ability Requirements

  • Demonstrated GMP knowledge and adherence to GMP principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including client presentations and training services.
  • Direct experience and working knowledge of a wide range of pharmaceutical drug products.
  • Regulatory Compliance Licencing and/or veterinary drug QA experience an asset.
  • Maintenance of work processes in line with customer needs and expectations.
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Effective project management and people management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills with training in current software applications (MS Office).
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Effective organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other Office Programs
