About the role

Procurement & Materials Coordinator

We are seeking a versatile and highly organized Procurement & Materials Coordinator to support procurement, warehousing, equipment rentals, and on-site logistics at the Georgia Pacific Green End Project.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials, tools, equipment, and rentals flow efficiently to support construction activities. Working closely with superintendents, site managers and all personnel. The Procurement & Materials Coordinator manages purchasing and receiving, laydown management, tool crib oversight, and equipment/fleet coordination.

This is a field-based role on a 14/7 rotation and requires strong communication, adaptability, and hands-on involvement with daily site operations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchasing

  • Responsibilities of accurately sourcing, locating and procuring the goods and services that are required by our clients.

  • Acquire goods and services on a best case of cost, quality, and schedule impact.

  • Maintain vendor databases and required vendor documentation required

  • Identify and evaluate local suppliers to reduce shipping costs and enhance responsiveness.

Warehouse & Material Management

  • Oversee all material receiving and documentation in accordance with company procedures.

  • Act as primary point of contact for all deliveries associated with the project scope.

  • Manage on-site and off-site laydown areas, ensuring proper organization, preservation, and inventory accuracy.

  • Coordinate material movement to workface teams and maintain real-time material status updates.

  • Collect and reconcile packing slips, delivery tickets, and receiving records daily.

Equipment & Rental Management

  • Manage all site equipment including company-owned and third-party rentals.

  • Coordinate equipment delivery, returns, maintenance, inspections, and certifications.

  • Serve as site liaison with rental vendors to ensure availability, compliance, and proper service.

  • Track and report equipment utilization, downtime, and scheduling needs.

  • Oversee company fleet vehicles, including service coordination through licensed providers.

Tool Crib & Inventory Oversight

  • Manage Tool Crib operations including issuance, return, inventory control, repairs, and recertification.

  • Ensure compliance with tool tracking procedures and maintain accurate records.

  • Support construction teams by ensuring timely availability of tools and consumables.

Site Logistics & Operations Support

  • Coordinate the flow of goods from receiving through inspection, storage, and dispatch to construction areas.

  • Ensure all storage and preservation requirements per vendor instructions are met and documented.

  • Provide the project team with regular updates on material, tool, and equipment status.

  • Support filing, data entry, and documentation control for procurement and logistics processes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Warehouse & Material Management personnel

  • Tool Crib personnel

  • Additional logistics or support staff as required

Requirements

  • Experience as a Buyer, Warehouse Coordinator, Logistics Lead, or similar role.

  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, material handling, and equipment rental operations.

  • Previous experience in mining, industrial, or heavy construction environments preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic spreadsheet/databases for tracking.

  • Excellent communication and people interaction skills.

  • Valid driver’s license (for local supplier pickups).

  • Able to work a 14/7 rotation with 10.5-hour shifts.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced site environment.

  • Commitment to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and working within a busy industrial setting.

Rotation: 14 Days In / 7 Days Out
Shifts: 10.5 Hours Shifts (10 hours paid with 30 min unpaid meal break)
