Role Description The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON, responsible for supporting daily store operations and delivering an elevated customer experience. This role assists in leading and motivating the team, overseeing visual merchandising, and maintaining brand standards throughout the store. The Assistant Manager helps drive sales by coaching team members, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring effective execution of promotional activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include scheduling, organizing workflows, managing inventory processes, and supporting loss prevention initiatives. The role also involves onboarding and training new team members, fostering an inclusive and engaging workplace, and collaborating with the Store Manager on strategic goals.

Qualifications

Experience in retail or customer-facing environments, with strong customer service and client relationship-building abilities. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team supervision, coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback. Operational skills in cash handling, inventory management, store opening/closing procedures, and adherence to company policies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and handle conflict constructively. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems, basic computer applications, and comfort learning new retail technologies. Attention to detail in visual merchandising, product presentation, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by retail operations. Previous experience in fashion or lifestyle brands and knowledge of current trends are considered assets. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field is an advantage.
