Role: The position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the plant. The employee is directly supervised by the Sanitation coordinator and Sanitation Manager.
Schedule: 3pm - 11:30pm & 9:30pm - 6am
Responsibilities
- Complies with the Sunrise’s HACCP, GMP and Safety Operating Procedures.
- Mop condensation throughout the plant.
- Empty garbage in a timely manner.
- Stock paper towels and soap throughout the plant.
- Maintain boot dips.
- Clean and remove debris that occurs around equipment/processing areas on a routinely basis.
- Tidy/clean live end lunchroom and washroom.
- Maintains de-feathering room, offal room, inedible room during production.
- Removes tanks and totes of inedible or garbage.
- Dumping inedible and garbage appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Operation of the lug wash machine as needed.
- Complies with the Sunrise’s HACCP, GMP and Safety operating Procedures.
- Performs other related duties that may be required from time to time.
Requirements
- Completion of WHIMIS training for Sanitation workers.
- Ability to operate all equipment in a safe manner and to use appropriate lock out procedures.
- Forklift and/or power jack certification maybe required.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position including but not limited to heavy lifting, repetitive movements with fingers, wrists and shoulder joints, frequent standing, applying pressures with hands to operate power hoses for prolonged periods etc.
- Able to work in varying temperatures and humidity levels.
$21.42 - $21.42 an hour
