We are seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering, Capital Projects, Maintenance & Facilities, to lead the technical backbone of our operations. This role provides strategic leadership and governance across engineering, capital delivery, maintenance, and facilities, while enabling strong execution through direct and functional reports. This role will report to the Director of Operations & Facilities and is based on-site at our Delta facility.Key Responsibilities****Engineering & Technical Leadership· Own engineering standards, asset lifecycle management, and technical decision-making across all sites · Act as the technical authority for equipment selection, automation, utilities, and facility systems · Provide structured problem-solving support for complex technical challengesCapital Projects & Project Governance· Own the capital governance framework including prioritization, stage-gate approvals, and resourcing · Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Senior Project Engineer · Review and approve project scopes, budgets, schedules, and risk registers · Lead high-risk or high-value capital projects as required · Ensure effective commissioning, validation, and turnover to Operations and Maintenance · Track and report portfolio-level capital performanceMaintenance & Reliability· Ensure effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs · Review CMMS performance, work-order efficiency, and reliability KPIs · Oversee spare parts and critical inventory strategy · Ensure maintenance readiness is embedded into capital projects · Review RCAs and ensure corrective actions are sustained · Ensure contractor compliance and audit readinessFacilities Management· Own facility governance, standards, and performance · Oversee security systems, policies, incidents, and budgets · Ensure sanitation, waste management, and pest control programs meet regulatory standards · Maintain continuous audit readiness and inspection discipline · Ensure facility requirements are integrated into capital projectsPeople Leadership & Culture· Lead Engineering and Capital functions directly · Provide functional oversight to Maintenance and Facility Managers · Establish role clarity, accountability, and performance expectations · Coach leaders on prioritization, communication, and execution · Foster a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous improvementFinancial & Strategic Accountability· Own engineering, facilities, and capital budgets · Provide oversight to maintenance operating budgets · Identify value-engineering and cost-reduction opportunities · Support long-term site master planning and asset lifecycle strategy · Contribute to OGSM and continuous improvement roadmapsQualifications & Experience· 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in engineering, maintenance, and facilities · Proven delivery of complex capital projects · Experience leading multi-site, cross-functional teams · Strong understanding of industrial equipment, utilities, and infrastructurePreferred· Engineering degree (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) · Experience in regulated manufacturing environments · Exposure to Lean, TPM, or CI methodologiesWhy Rubicon?· Join a publicly listed, mission-led company focused on sustainability and product excellence. · Work in a collaborative environment with smart people who value initiative. · Salary of $105-125K, bonus potential 20%, monthly phone stipend. · Unlimited vacation. · Medical and dental benefits coverage after 3 months.
