About the role
The Manager, Enablement Financial Reporting & Analytics is a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual who will support the Canadian Banking Engineering (CBE) team and closely partner with the Canadian Banking finance team for clear and linked reporting, ensuring alignment and transparency across the bank. This team member will play a key role in enabling effective financial planning, cost governance, and performance tracking in partnership with senior leaders across Technology, Finance, and Business Management.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Lead the planning, tracking, and reporting of the CBE as well as Canadian
Banking Direct and Indirect allocations.
• Manage transit budget ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and
financial targets.
• Report on actuals vs. budget and provide updates to the stakeholders on
routine bases to manage risks and opportunities.
• Support decision making through analysis and insights on the financial
models and provide options for executions.
• Track and accurately report on FTE/Contractors and mapping of resources
to support lines.
• Partner with Finance and Technology stakeholders to ensure accurate cost
allocations, recoveries, and forecasting.
• Prepare executive-level financial reports, dashboards, and presentations
to communicate performance and trends.
• Support quarterly and annual planning cycles, including budget
development, forecasting, and financial reviews.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in
financial operations.
• Project: Point of contact for mapping expenses and operational needs
against each support areas
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
• 5+ years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, or cost
governance, ideally within a technology or banking environment.
• Matrix working environment experience is crucial to the role for support
of multiple business partners.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, cost structures, and
budgeting processes.
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and complex environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling experience for monthly
financials and insight.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a cross-
functional team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Technology Management; a CPA or MBA
designation is plus.
• A strategic mindset and ability to lead cross-domain financial reporting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is key to success.
• Ability to work collaboratively across Finance, Technology, and
Engineering teams.
