Position Title: Chicopee Hall Cashier
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports to: Manager, Food & Beverage or designate

Job Summary: Chicopee Hall Cashier plays a key role in delivering friendly, accurate, and efficient service to guests in the food and beverage areas. This individual is responsible for handling cash and electronic transactions, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and ensuring a positive guest experience at all times. The position may rotate between food and beverage service areas and may assist other departments based on operational needs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Accurately handle cash, credit/debit, and other transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Count cash in drawers at the beginning and end of each shift to verify accuracy and change availability.
- Take responsibility for all register transactions and shortages.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a courteous manner.
- Follow all operational procedures for opening, operating, and closing the register and service area.
- Maintain clean and organized checkout and service areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Serve over the counter food and beverage items.
- Alert supervisor to any irregularities, equipment malfunctions, or unusual occurrences during shift.
- Assist with restocking food and beverage items and maintaining supply levels as needed.
- Support other departments or roles during peak periods or when directed by management.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service or cashiering is an asset.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 20.4 kg (45 lbs) and performing repetitive tasks.
- Takes pride in providing clean, efficient, and friendly service.
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (REG 493) and/or Smart Serve certification is an asset
- Bilingualism is an asset

- Approachable, empathetic, and customer-focused
- Must be flexible with scheduling – including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shift coverage
- Must provide your own uniform in compliance with Chicopee’s uniform policy
