We are looking for General Operators to join our team in Grand Forks, BC . This position works a rotating schedule of 3 days on and 3 days off.
You must be able and willing to work both day and night shifts.
- 12-hour shifts - Days and Nights - 7:00 – 7:00

What you will be doing:
The General Operator is an entry level role who will be responsible for handling products, cleaning and maintaining their assigned area per ROCKWOOL standards, specifications, and policies as well as executing all tasks in compliance with government regulations (e.g. safety laws).
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workplace
- Report all irregularities related to the work of subordinate devices
- Inform supervisor and relevant shifts of any problems or tasks in need of attention
- Use Batt packers, shrink tunnel, stacking products after, supporting multi wrappers when needed
- End of stacker, stacking wool, moving wool carts
- Boxing, making boxes, measuring pipe in PSM, PSM raw wool
- Floor washing, and floor sweeping
- Communicate unusual conditions, equipment issues, or reasons for change of production volume to cross shift operator
- Tasks on the off-line granulator
What you bring:
- Must have Grade 12 or equivalent GED
- Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated with the drive and understanding of key figures and how to maximize the output
- The ability to read and understand written instructions/procedures.
- Ability to adhere to a rotating 12-hour shift schedule
- Strong work ethic
- Team player who can work well with others
Work Environment & Conditions:
- Fast-paced high volume production facility
- Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for 12 hours per day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs alone and 120 lbs with another person
- Ability to shovel heavy waste to shoulder height
- Ability to wear protective safety equipment for several hours daily
