Amlilas Daycare Child Care Worker
‘Na̱mg̱is Education Department is seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join the Early Childhood Development Team. This role provides a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 2½–6 years, supporting their social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and cultural growth. The position is 28 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and document daily activities that support all areas of child development.
- Follow a daily schedule that balances indoor/outdoor, active/quiet, and individual/group activities.
- Supervise children at all times.
- Document progress and report behavior or other issues to the supervisor.
- Collaborate effectively with the team, providing support and sharing ideas.
- Ensure a safe and healthy environment, administering first aid and following Duty to Report requirements.
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious snacks.
- Attend staff meetings and workshops to stay current on childcare trends.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education Certificate preferred, or completion of at least one ECE course.
- Child Safe First Aid or equivalent.
- Food Safe certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with children under six.
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record check required.
- Physically and emotionally able to work with children (doctor’s note may be required).
Salary: $38,056–$44,099 annually
