As an integral member of the CIBC’s Digital Platforms and Client Engagement group within the Frontline Tools & Enablement team and reporting to the Director Application Services, the Senior Manager, Application Services & Platform Health will be responsible for ensuring production delivery and ongoing operations of applications in production, support escalations to national support line and see it through delivery fixes. The Senior Manager will collaborate with partners to resolve issues, while ensuring adherence to operational standards and business requirements. This is an individual contributor role.

How You’ll Succeed
- Production application management and collaboration - Manage the deployment, validation, acceptance, and ongoing operations of frontline applications released into production within your assigned delivery towers. Act as the central point of contact for production-related issues, both for the applications you support and for any cross-line-of-business applications that utilize your services. Continually develop and performing health checks to monitor and maintain all applications. Working closely with business partners and the delivery team, you will elicit business requirements and actively contribute to solution design discussions to ensure project objectives are achieved. Building strong relationships, leading discussions, and asking insightful questions will be essential in ensuring solutions align with business needs.
- Subject matter expert - Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert. Provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
- Strategic thinking – Leverage strategic thinking to identify, design, and implement process improvements that drive operational efficiency. Analyze existing workflows, recommend enhancements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize platform performance. Proactively seek opportunities to streamline processes, reduce complexity, and deliver measurable improvements, ensuring that solutions align with business objectives and support long-term growth. Build strong relationships and fostering a culture of continuous improvement will be key to success in this role.
- Continuous Improvement – Build, monitor & report alerting processes, continually improve and maintain all performance related processes. Identify opportunities for development and improvement of policies to streamline processes, deployment, automation, and environment including prevention/detection and remedy of potentially complex issues.
- Relationship Management – Provide ongoing support to the business teams & external vendor of the application through the lifecycle of application delivery. Work closely with the Production Support Technology and Business teams to address user escalations in a timely manner for a few Frontline & Back-Office applications. Continue to work with the platform vendor to implement ongoing production enhancements. Provide support to the Delivery team to validate new functionality, enhancements or executing production regression changes that improves the performance of the application.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate 2 to 5 years of work experience in application operations within a financial institution. It’s an asset if you have experience with investment applications.
- You have at least 2 to 5 years work experience analyze and determine quick mean-time to recovery, problem management, escalation analysis, defect management.
- You have strong presentation skills to different audience levels in an organization, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects utilizing effective judgment in prioritizing and time allocation.
