About the role

Our global manufacturing client is seeking a commercially minded Senior Financial Analyst to partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain, providing financial insights that drive strategic business decisions.

This highly visible role will support a growing business unit by delivering meaningful analysis of financial performance, gross margins, pricing, product costing, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Senior Financial Analyst Details

Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities

Partner with Commercial, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support business performance. Analyze and report on divisional financial results, with a strong focus on P&L performance, gross margins, profitability, and manufacturing costs. Evaluate product, customer, and channel profitability while identifying opportunities to improve margins. Support pricing decisions, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial planning through financial analysis. Prepare monthly financial reporting, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Collaborate with Operations to analyze production costs, inventory, yields, standard costing, and manufacturing variances. Build dashboards and reporting tools to monitor financial and operational KPIs. Evaluate ROI for promotions, capital investments, and new product initiatives. Present financial insights and recommendations that support strategic business decisions.

Senior Financial Analyst Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA preferred or in progress). 5-7 years of progressive finance experience within a manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing experience required. Strong understanding of P&L statements, gross margin analysis, product costing, manufacturing variances, and profitability analysis. Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, pricing, inventory, and standard costing. Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills. Strong communication and business partnering abilities with cross-functional teams. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities.
