About the Role

We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our Roy Foss Thornhill location.

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with the General Manager to determine hiring needs.
  • Partner with HR to oversee the hiring and training of department employees.
  • Address customer complaints escalated by Sales Consultants and ensure timely resolution.
  • Foster a positive work environment and maintain high employee morale.
  • Support the sales team in driving sales with both new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Strategist, General Manager, and Executives to establish and manage budgets for sales promotions and campaigns.

Goal-Oriented Performance Management

  • Develop and implement monthly sales goals and targets in coordination with the General Manager and Executives.
  • Regularly review sales performance metrics with the General Manager and sales team.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of documentation submitted by the sales team.
  • Analyze and optimize work processes for better time management and efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory daily to ensure availability for immediate delivery and special displays.

Sales Team Development & Performance Monitoring

  • Track daily sales consultant performance against monthly objectives.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Sales Consultants to provide coaching, support, and motivation.
  • Ensure adherence to sales processes and utilization of tools for success (e.g., 180).

Brand Commitment & Product Knowledge

  • Stay up to date with brand-specific training programs and new product features.
  • Communicate technical features, options, and benefits effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitor products, and pricing.
  • Uphold a professional appearance and maintain cleanliness in workspaces.
  • Coordinate vehicle inventory supply and acquisition.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Deliver high-quality and efficient customer service both in-person and over the phone.
  • Answer phone calls in a professional and timely manner (within 15 seconds).
  • Lead by example in maintaining sales standards and processes.

Culture & Leadership

  • Promote teamwork and accountability within the sales department.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of strategic departmental measures.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and align with the brand’s customer experience standards.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with an engaging and positive attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage customer complaints and resolve conflicts effectively.

  • Willing to work evening and weekend shifts as scheduled.

Professionalism & Time Management

  • Punctual with excellent time management skills.
  • Arrives ready to perform job responsibilities efficiently.

Technical & Task-Related Competencies

  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and OMVIC license.
  • Experience with 180, TMS, and ADP DMS systems.
