Job Summary:
We are currently hiring an experienced 10 Ton Class Excavator Operator for a short-term construction project located in North Vancouver. The expected start date is Tuesday 19th (weather dependent), with an expected duration of 2 to 4 weeks.
The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and experienced in operating mid-sized excavators in tight or urban work environments. You’ll be responsible for trenching, backfilling, loading trucks, and assisting with general site prep as directed by the foreman.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a 10-ton class excavator on an active construction site
Perform tasks such as trenching, grading, backfilling, and loading
Work collaboratively with ground crew and site supervisors
Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
Follow site-specific safety protocols and procedures
Maintain awareness of surroundings and site activity at all times
Assist with other site tasks as required
Requirements:
Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating a 10-ton (or similar) excavator
Valid Heavy Equipment Operator ticket recognized in British Columbia
Ability to operate in tight spaces with precision and control
Familiarity with trenching and civil excavation best practices
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Valid driver’s license and own transportation preferred
Must have steel-toe boots, high-vis vest, and a hard hat
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Work Conditions:
Start Date: 19th August 2025 (weather dependent)
Expected Duration: 2–4 weeks
Location: North Vancouver
Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time hours
Pay Rate: $29–$34 per hour, based on experience
