We are seeking an energetic, personable, and detail-oriented Barista to join our daytime team. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee culture, hospitality, and creating exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment.

This role focuses on preparing high-quality coffee beverages, specialty drinks, smoothies, fresh juices, and limited cocktails while maintaining strong service standards and efficiency during busy service periods. The successful candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment and contribute positively to daily café operations.

This is a daytime-only position and requires strong multitasking skills, attention to cleanliness, and a proactive approach to preparation and organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages, brewed coffees, teas, smoothies, fresh juices, and specialty drinks according to company standards.
• Prepare a limited selection of alcoholic beverages and cocktails in compliance with Smart Serve regulations.
• Complete daily prep tasks including:
• Fresh juice production
• Smoothie and beverage station preparation
• Coffee brewing and batch preparation
• Stocking garnishes, syrups, milks, and ingredients
• Deliver exceptional guest service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Operate POS systems efficiently and accurately handle cash, debit, and credit card transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all barista stations, equipment, counters, and prep areas.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and beverage handling procedures.
• Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen team members to ensure smooth service flow.
• Assist with light food preparation and support service operations when needed.
• Restock inventory and monitor supplies throughout shifts to maintain operational readiness.
• Maintain consistency, presentation quality, and speed during high-volume service periods.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista, Café Server, or in food and beverage service is preferred.
• Experience preparing specialty coffees, espresso beverages, smoothies, and juices is considered an asset.
• Valid Smart Serve Certification is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a hospitality-focused attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively during busy daytime operations.
• Experience with POS systems (Micros POS experience is an asset).
• Ability to maintain professionalism, cleanliness, and positive energy throughout service.
