Description Dispatcher - Part-Time Cold Lake Bus Lines is currently seeking a part-time Dispatcher to join our team in Cold Lake. Responsible for scheduling / coordinating our team of school bus drivers, this position is tailor-made for an industry professional with a focus on customer service and passenger satisfaction. This is a part-time position; the shift is Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role
- Experience in the school bus industry an asset
- Good knowledge of Cold Lake, Bonnyville and surrounding area
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and diplomacy
- Ability to handle stressful situations in a composed manner
- Customer service focus
- Expertise in organizational planning and problem solving
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure that drivers and staff are treated in a fair and consistent manner using the guidelines and rules set down in the Driver’s Handbook and Policy and Procedures manual
- Delegate appropriate responsibilities
- Ensure school routes are covered in an efficient and fair manner
- Assist in answering public and driver inquiries and finding solutions to concerns
- Ensure all required paperwork/requests is completed in an accurate and timely manner
- Cover routes as required
- General office duties as required
