Quality Assurance Automation Developer: On behalf of our government client, Procom is searching for a Quality Assurance Automation Developer for a full-time role. This position is a hybrid position with occasional days onsite at our client’s Edmonton office.

Quality Assurance Automation Developer - Job Description: The Government of Alberta is undergoing a digital transformation to enhance service delivery to its citizens. As part of this initiative, the Digital Design and Delivery Division requires QA Automation Developers to ensure the quality of new digital services. These roles involve working on service innovation, program review, and digital transformation projects across various government ministries.

Quality Assurance Automation Developer - Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in ensuring the delivery of quality digital services
• Create test plans, test cases, and scenarios
• Design and implement system, load, performance, and security tests
• Manage automation for rapid and frequent delivery
• Implement and coordinate automated test suites
• Support quality practices such as BDD/TDD
• Contribute to metrics for service quality and automated report generation

Quality Assurance Automation Developer - Mandatory Skills:

• Experience in creating test plans and automated test suites
• Proficiency in system, load, performance, and security testing
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and human-centered design
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Understanding of Behavior/Test Driven Development (BDD/TDD)

Quality Assurance Automation Developer – Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with AI in testing
• Knowledge of reusable testing components
• Familiarity with code linting and test coverage
• Experience in digital transformation projects
• Ability to conduct field research and user interviews

Quality Assurance Automation Developer – Assignment Length: This is a full-time position with a maximum of 1,960 hours per term, subject to change based on project needs.
