Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and versatile SAP Manufacturing Support Analyst to join our SAP S/4HANA greenfield transformation program. The Support Analyst will serve as a critical link between manufacturing operations and the SAP implementation team, ensuring that industry-specific requirements, compliance needs, and best practices are embedded into the new ERP solution. The Support Analyst will work with Business Analyst to collaborate across multiple business functions, including production, quality, supply chain, and compliance to lead training of Super Users across all sites and to ensure smooth transition to SAP
Key Responsibilities Business Process Expertise
- Provide end-to-end process knowledge across food manufacturing, including production planning, shop floor operations, quality management, supply chain, and compliance.
- Translate business needs into SAP S/4HANA requirements, ensuring processes are aligned with food industry standards.
- Participate in fit-to-standard workshops, supporting the identification of gaps and assessing the impact of required changes.
Design & Validation
- Collaborate with SAP functional and technical consultants to design processes that reflect best practices in food manufacturing.
- Validate design configurations and participate in solution walkthroughs, ensuring accuracy and practicality.
Testing & Deployment
- Support creation of test cases for manufacturing, quality, and compliance scenarios.
- Actively participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and validate that system outputs meet real-world manufacturing requirements.
- Provide input into cutover and go-live readiness for manufacturing processes.
Change Management & Training
- Act as a knowledge bridge for business users, explaining SAP capabilities in plain language.
- Provide input into training materials and SOP updates, ensuring they are practical for food manufacturing teams.
- Act as a floor-level advocate, helping employees adopt and adapt to the new system.
Hypercare & Continuous Improvement
- Support hyper-care activities by validating production issues and escalating system-related defects.
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement post–go-live, ensuring ongoing alignment with manufacturing needs.
The Recipe For Success
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
- Experience in working with ERP systems in Manufacturing
- Foundational Knowledge
- ERP Systems: Working knowledge of various ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) is essential. Certifications from major vendors can validate this expertise.
- Manufacturing Processes: A comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing lifecycle is crucial. This includes shop floor control, materials requirements planning (MRP), inventory control, supply chain management, quality assurance, and production scheduling. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Project Management & Soft Skills
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and timeline management, are critical for keeping the implementation on track and on budget. Methodologies like Agile or Waterfall are often used.
- Change Management: ERP implementations can be disruptive. A consultant needs to be adept at managing organizational change by preparing and supporting employees through the transition, minimizing resistance, and fostering user adoption.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication is vital for bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. This involves active listening, translating technical jargon into understandable terms, and conducting effective training sessions for end-users.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and solve complex problems, from technical glitches to business process inefficiencies, is at the core of a consultant's role.
- Analytical Skills: Consultants need to analyze data and processes to pinpoint opportunities for improvement and measure the success and ROI of the ERP implementation.
