Construction Project Manager (Full-Time in Person)

Job Overview
Reporting to the Director of Projects, the Project Manager will act as the primary representative for ownership and clients, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with company standards and client expectations. This role requires close collaboration with internal departments stakeholders including Leasing, Property Management, and Accounting Departments, to ensure seamless project execution and integration into ongoing building operations.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Delivery

Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders including property owners, tenants, consultants, and contractors.

Lead projects from early planning through design, construction, and project closeout.

Develop project budgets, schedules, and overall project execution strategies.

Coordinate consultants including architects, engineers, designers, and specialty consultants
-
Manage procurement and tendering processes for construction contracts.

Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to project schedule and budget.

Facilitate regular project meetings and maintain clear communication among all parties.

Track project risks, changes, and scope adjustments.

Ensure proper documentation and project record keeping.

Manage and delegate tasks to Project Team.
2. Construction & Consultant Coordination
- Oversee contractors and consultants during construction to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Review contractor progress draws and change orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate site inspections and ensure deficiencies are addressed in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, permits, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate project commissioning, deficiencies, and project close-out documentation.
3. Internal Collaboration

Collaborate closely with Leasing and Property Management to support tenant improvement projects.

Work with Property Management to minimize disruption to building operations during construction.

Ensure smooth transition of completed projects to Operations teams.

Coordinate with Accounting on project budgets, invoicing, and financial reporting
providing regular project updates to stakeholders.

Core Qualifications

A degree or diploma in engineering or construction related field, combined with relevant experience.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with construction documentation, budgeting, and scheduling tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience Requirements
-
5+ years of experience in project management and/or construction management.
-
Experience managing commercial tenant improvement projects and commercial building upgrades.
-
Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, and multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.
