About the role

External Coordinators are tasked with aiding the VP External in managing the External Portfolio by securing external sponsorships to support ACE UBC’s initiatives and events. This includes identifying potential partners, building relationships with industry professionals, and managing sponsorship outreach. Additionally, the External Coordinators will train to compete at the ACE Nationals Case Competition and Conference in Toronto (January 2027). Throughout the term, they’ll develop core business skills by actively participating in weekly training sessions featuring structured lessons, mock competitions, and personalized feedback \n

Time Commitment 2-5 hours per week

Term of Employment July 2026-March 2027

Responsibilities Aid in identifying potential corporate sponsorships aligned with ACE’s mission Conduct outreach to industry professionals and manage professional relations through various communication channels (Email, LinkedIn, etc.) Assist in creating sponsorship portfolios highlighting ACE UBC’s achievements, missions and goals to support sponsor outreach Assist in outreach to relevant clubs, alumni and local businesses Assist in finding judges for mock-competitions during training as well as the ACE Invitational case competition (Spring 2027) Compete and train for the ACE Nationals Case Competition and Conference Attend weekly training sessions, consisting of in-depth workshops on technical skills and public speaking, practice cases, and formal mock competitions Attend ACE Nationals in Toronto (January 2027)

Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Public speaking abilities Eagerness and a curiosity to learn Previous casing experience is an asset, but not required Previous experience in outreach/relationship management is an asset, but not required
