Our expertise is diversifying, how about you?
You will be responsible for defining the direction and business development strategies for all operations within the Manufacturing and Processing segment. This segment mainly includes four sectors: manufacturing, pulp and paper, engineered wood products, and mineral construction materials.
Working closely with the directors of the centres of excellence and key account managers, you will help identify the required expertise, workforce profiles and partnerships to ensure a competitive offering in the market. You will also collaborate in synergy with the other segment directors.

Reporting to the Vice President, Resources and Industry, and with a focus on growth, you will be responsible for:
- Implementing the business plan and market development plan for your segment;
- Ensuring market development by pursuing new opportunities, managing client relationships and consolidating the existing customer base;
- Analyzing and qualifying business opportunities (‘‘Go / No Go’’ process), by assessing risks and opportunities;
- Actively contributing to the preparation, approval and conclusion of service proposals, including coordinating consortium, joint venture and subcontracting agreements;
- Overseeing budgets related to market development, monitoring performance indicators and updating management platform (CRM, MAM, SGP);
- Collaborating in the planning and development of marketing and promotional tools specific to your segment;
- Maintaining ongoing connections with centres of excellence and corporate teams to maximize synergy and profitability.
You will be a key player at the heart of strategic and operational decisions for your segment, directly contributing to the achievement of revenue and profitability objectives.
Our essentials
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or any other relevant combination of education;
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in business development and partnership building;
- In-depth knowledge of at least one of the following sectors: manufacturing, pulp and paper, engineered wood products, or mineral construction materials;
- Experience working within engineering consulting firms;
- A proven track record in management, strategic planning, sales process development and the creation of significant business partnerships;
- Strong communication skills, agility and adaptability, strategic development capabilities, client focus, rigor and organizational skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written;
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Canada and internationally.
