Maintenance & Facilities Manager
About the role
Our client, a global manufacturer with a strong reputation for innovation, market responsiveness, and growth is looking for a Maintenance & Facilities Manager.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of maintenance and facilities leadership in a busy manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance & Facilities Manager will lead a skilled team, oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and ensure that equipment and facilities operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.

You will:
- Lead and develop a team. You will guide a group of technicians and tradespeople, setting priorities, assigning work, and ensuring performance expectations are met. You will coach, train, and motivate the team, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee maintenance programs. You will take responsibility for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance across equipment, utilities, and facility systems. From troubleshooting and root cause analysis to repairs and installations, you will ensure production is supported and downtime is minimized.
- Promote safety and compliance. You will drive health and safety initiatives, audits, and inspections, ensuring all regulations and standards are met. You will champion safe work practices and maintain 5S workplace organization.
- Plan and improve operations. You will manage the maintenance budget, oversee upgrades and capital projects, and work with contractors as needed. You will use CMMS to track work orders, analyze performance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across departments. You will partner with production leaders, engineers, and other teams to align on equipment requirements, support process improvements, and keep operations running smoothly.
You bring:
- The experience. You bring progressive maintenance experience in manufacturing, including time spent in a leadership role. You have strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and have overseen preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- The leadership. You can coach, motivate, and manage a team while handling multiple priorities. You have experience hiring, training, and developing staff, and a track record of improving performance.
- The technical expertise. You are comfortable troubleshooting, working with CMMS systems, and supporting both hands-on repairs and strategic planning. Lean manufacturing exposure is an asset.
- The collaboration. You are a strong communicator who builds trust and relationships across teams and with contractors, ensuring shared goals are achieved.
