4 Month Co-op Location: 500 Lake Shore Boulevard West Toronto January 5 - April 24, 2026 Why This Role Is Important The successful candidate will work within the portfolio management team of the customer risk department. During their time with the bank, they will collaborate with the team to build new process efficiencies and aid with optimizing and implementing new risk strategies that will drive business growth and achieve strategic objectives. The successful candidate will learn the fundamentals of credit card industry, gaining insight on the importance of the role that the customer risk department plays within the bank.
What You’ll Do
- Extract and prepare data for ad-hoc analysis and reporting using PySpark and SQL queries.
- Build automation processes for monthly and quarterly deliverables.
- Participate in the analysis of business strategy impact on risk management models.
- Create and track documentation for risk strategies, reporting, and analysis.
- Conduct risk strategy changes and risk strategy implementation.
- Explore different customer data and brainstorm potential improvement to the existing risk strategies.
What You Bring
- An academic focus in mathematics, statistics, business, or a quantitative discipline.
- Hands on experience with programming languages such as PySpark, SQL, or Python.
- Expert in MS Office, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Detail oriented and an ability to propose creative solutions.
- Capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Previous experience with MS Excel VBA is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and independently execute assigned work.
- Team player and results oriented.
