As the Access & Privacy Administrative Assistant, will support all members the Access and Privacy Section with general administrative duties and with the day to day operations to ensure that all requests are processed in a timely manner. The Access & Privacy Section is a high volume fast paced environment that must adhere to legislated timeframes. Specific duties include:
- Perform general administrative duties including data entry, creating/modifying reports, scheduling meetings and records retention.
- Manage records and receipts, monitor emails, process payments and assist with internal and public calls ensuring all inquiries are properly distributed.
- Collect, distribute, and return evidence collected from records and the evidence and property unit.
- Liaise with Access & Privacy team on requests, additionally, review incoming request to ensure applicants have provided the necessary items.
- Review and prepare request folders as per the retention schedule.
Working Conditions: There may be exposure to graphic materials and subjects in this position.
Qualifications
- A certificate equivalent to 1 year of full-time study in a related field, with at least 5 years of related experience; OR
- A 2-year diploma in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in a law enforcement or court environment.
- Knowledge of privacy legislation would be considered an asset.
- Excellent communication, efficiency and thoroughness, focus on results, relationship building, service orientation, stress tolerance, team building and teamwork.
Pre-employment Requirements
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Location: 5111 47 Street N.E.
Compensation: Pay Grade 7 $35.45 - 47.43 per hour
Days of Work: This position typically works a 5 day
work week with 1 day off in each 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
