About the role

The Operations Supervisor will assist with staff supervision, coaching and scheduling and create a safe and secure home-like environment for clients, families and staff. Operations Supervisor may ialso provide customer service and intake coordination to referral sources, clients and families and liaise with stakeholders to ensure client schedule and funding needs are met, including completion and maintenance of service agreements.
Your role:
Accountability
- Supervise and provide direction to staff
- Assist in ensuring that Direct Support Staff are scheduled inthe homes in accordance wth the funding guidelines.
- Collaborate with Clinical, Operations Managers and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst where applicable to develop monthly activity recreational plan.
- Collaborate with the Clinical team to ensure follow through on contracted services, including the Individual Support Plan (ISP)/ Plan of Care (POC), and Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) protocols.
Supervision and People Management
- Assist in ensures adherence to policies and procedures as well as regional licensing requirements.
- Assist in training and onboarding of Direct Support Staff
- Assist in ensuring Direct Support Staff are well aligned with the Key Accountabilities of their role and are meeting performance expectations including execution of recreation and activity plans.
- Provide applicable information to Manager for probation and annual performance reviews and performance improvement plans.
- Ensures that mandatory and annual training requirements provided by Human Resources are complete and gaps addressed
- Report workplace injuries
Documentation and Administration
- Assist Operations Managers to ensure accurate records of house petty cash and the client’s personal
- Assists with monitoring client’s finances (expenditures, reimbursements, may include reconciling the client’s personal funds at month end). Completes audits as per policy
- Assists Operations Managers to ensure completion of recreation/activity summaries are completed and submitted.
- Complete monthly summaries for funder
What you will need to be successful
Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 year of experience in a supervisor or leadership role in a service-focused organization
-
Minimum 3 years of experience working directly with clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis
-
Demonstrated patient-centred focus with a commitment to providing quality care.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Secondary Education or certification in Health, Business, Health Administration, or related field
-
Strong knowledge of the health care system, and experience in home and community care
