IT Service Desk Technician (Mandarin and English)

Job Title: IT Service Desk Technician (Mandarin and English) Position Type: Contract Location: Vaughan, ON Salary Rate: $35/hr to $40/hr (CAD)
Job Description: We are seeking an IT Service Desk Technician (L1) to provide frontline onsite IT support for warehouse and office operations. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, deploying IT equipment, supporting warehouse devices, and ensuring end users receive timely technical assistance.
Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and standard business applications. Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals. Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, network connectivity, and user account issues. Support warehouse technology including barcode scanners, handheld devices, PDA terminals, and label printers. Perform printer maintenance, including resolving paper jams, replacing toner, and troubleshooting label printing issues. Configure basic network settings, including IP configuration, Wi-Fi connectivity, and printer networking. Prepare, deploy, and configure IT equipment for new employees and warehouse operations. Respond to IT service requests and incidents while meeting established service level agreements (SLAs). Maintain IT asset inventory and update technical documentation. Escalate complex technical issues to Level 2 support when appropriate.
Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience providing IT support in an onsite service desk or desktop support environment. Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, computer hardware, printers, and peripheral devices. Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP configuration, Wi-Fi, and printer connectivity. Experience using IT ticketing systems and providing end-user technical support. Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, retail, or manufacturing environments is considered an asset. Experience supporting Zebra or Honeywell handheld devices is an asset. Familiarity with label printing systems is preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Intune or other Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions is an asset. Proficiency in both Mandarin and English is required.
