The Role
Responsible for the domestic services function within hospital and community premises through the effective deployment of staff resources to ensure effective cleaning methods, the control of infection and the promotion of a safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.

- Departmental Induction and Orientation
- Infection Control
- Manual Handling

- C.O.S.S.H
- Management of Aggression
- Payroll Systems
- Elementary Food Hygiene (provided internally)
- First Line Management (provided as personal development)
- Human Resource Policies and Protocols
- Level of experience 1-2 years working as a domestic within a preferred Public Sector environment
- Basic IT Skills
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence. It would be great if you also have
- Domestic Supervisors Training Programme (provided internally)
- BICSc qualification in healthcare
- Qualified to ILM Standard
- SVQ in cleaning science
- Experience of working within an NHS environment
- Domestic Services Monitoring experience
- Good communication skills – including written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise workload
- General awareness of NHS business.
- Ability to work as an individual and also as a team member
Contract type
- Permanent
- Part Time
- 20 hours
Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata. Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in PSSD within Domestic Services Hamilton
The working pattern for this role -
