The Opportunity
As the Store Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the operations of the retail location by prioritizing the customer experience, maximizing sales and profitability, building a strong retail team, managing merchandising and much more. As the Store Manager you play a key role in the overall atmosphere of the store, as you are responsible for the recruitment process and team development to maintain and create a strong retail staff. Store Managers are relied on as a problem-solver for their team members and customers, and are viewed as an expert in all areas of the store.

Customer Service

Accountability for Customer Experience scores

Ensuring team members lead with a Customer-First approach

Provide and facilitate product knowledge training

Ensure customer orders are prioritized effectively
Operations

Responsible for Inventory Integrity for store location
-
Understand and operate receiving, accurately and timely
-
Ensures products that are received are processed accurately and are ready to move to floor
Results
-
Revenue Generation, responsible for sales of your location
-
Create strategies to increase the average order value
-
Ensure labour percentage is within target for revenue
Merchandising
-
Ensure proper procedures and readiness for events and promotions (bike night, tent sale etc.)
-
Responsible for store appearance (in-store signage, end-caps, cleanliness etc.)

Create and execute a ‘Customer Journey’ regarding product
-
Execute seasonal store flips
Team
-
Responsible for recruiting and retaining team members
-
Identify top talent and develop training strategies for growth, development and retention
-
Proactively forecast store needs and align team scheduling and recruitment with demand

Ensure team adherence to policies and procedures, holding employees accountable
-
Formal and informal performance management of team members, as required
Culture
- Foster a culture of accountability, inclusion, mutual respect and teamwork by coaching, training and acting on store operations and core values
Qualifications
- 4+ years of retail management experience is preferred
- Knowledge of the powersports, automotive or sporting goods industries is required
- Hands on working knowledge of retail systems, human resources best practices and operations
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with constant shifting priorities
- Ability to complete assigned work and projects on time within a fast, ever-changing environment
- Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential
- Proficiency in computer use
- Effective communication and writing skills are required
Additional Information

This is a full-time opportunity with varying hours and overtime as required - the successful candidate must be available for shifts during days, evenings, and weekends.

This position requires team members to stand for extended periods, climb a ladder and to move and handle boxes of merchandise (weighing up to 30 pounds) throughout the store.

This position reports to the Director of Retail and Distribution

Steel toe, green patch work boots are required.
