About The Team Our Operational Due Diligence & Advisory team’s vision is to deliver comprehensive and best in-class Operational Due Diligence (ODD. The team’s objective is to design, implement and effectively manage ODD reviews in compliance with corporate procedures and the ODD framework.

About Your Role As an Intern, Operational Due Diligence , you’ll:

  • Provide assistance with the maintenance (data entry) of the operational due diligence database
  • Provide assistance with the implementation and maintenance of ODD processes using AI technology
  • Assist in collecting information included in the operational due diligence database from various sources (financial statements, due diligence reports, public sources, etc.)
  • Conduct research on key platforms/sites (ex. SEC site)
  • Review financial statements and extract key information for analysis
  • Review checklists to ensure information is included / updated
  • Compile list of specific data points from various files for improved analysis
  • Provide assistance in the operational due diligence process to ensure compliance with internal procedures and guidelines

What You’ll Need

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study
  • High academic standing
  • Knowledge of financial products and markets
  • High proficiency with MS Office tools (including Excel)
  • Experience in general purpose Python, specifically with LangChain/LlamaIndex/Haystack, Pydantic, REST APIs, etc
  • Experience using and calling (API) OpenAI models and models from other providers such as Anthropic’s Claude, Meta’s Llama, AWS Bedrock, and Ollama
  • Experience with RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) and semantic search is an asset
  • Familiarity with vector databases (VBD) like Weaviate, pg_vector, Qdrant, Milvus, Pinecone, ChromaDB is an asset
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently on all aspects of a project and to work collaboratively within a team
  • Accountability and results-driven approach
  • Ability to navigate a fast-pace environment with a high level of autonomy
  • Effective communications skills, both written and spoken
  • Attention to detail and rigorous approach to research, analysis and documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively, cultivating meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Strong work ethic and integrity
  • Must return to studies after the internship or the internship must be part of your curriculum
  • Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn) (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa)
  • Candidates must have the right to work in Canada* for the period specified to be considered for this position. No support to obtain the right to work will be provided
