About the role
Tasks
- Actively participate in the recruitment process: job postings, pre-screening, interviews, hiring, onboarding, and employee integration.
- Coordinate workplace health and safety (OHS) initiatives, including audits with the joint health and safety association.
- Lead OHS committee meetings and ensure documentation follow-up.
- Organize OHS activities: first aid training, evacuation drills, emergency plan updates.
- Manage vacation schedules, personal days, and health spending accounts.
- Oversee retirement savings programs (RRSP and DPSP), including enrollments and coordination of info sessions.
- Approve worked hours in the TimeZone system.
- Collaborate with ADP for payroll coordination.
- Update HR reports: employee lists, probation periods, turnover rates, and other reports upon request.
- Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in human resources.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent command of French (spoken and written) and strong English skills, as approximately 50% of communications are in English.
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset due to the company’s multicultural environment.
- Must own a vehicle for travel between sites.
- Ability to travel between two locations in the West Island.
- CRHA/CRIA designation (an asset).
- Familiarity with ADP (an asset).
- Workplace first aid certification (an asset).
