Job Description
As a Security Administrator here at Honeywell, you will have the opportunity to support Contract Security Administration activities at the site level. Working closely with the Company Security Officer (CSO) and Designated Official (DO), the Security Administrator assists in the administration and execution of contract security requirements, ensuring compliance with company policies, the Contract Security Manual (CSM), Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) requirements, the Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and other applicable government regulations.
You will report directly to our Sr Security Manager and you’ll work out of our Cambridge, ON location.
In this role, you will be responsible for for a variety of administrative and operational security functions, including visitor processing, personnel security screening support, access card requests, security awareness and education activities, training coordination, and the maintenance of security records and compliance documentation. The Security Administrator also supports day-to-day security operations by preparing reports, maintaining files, tracking security-related activities, and providing general administrative support to ensure the effective management of the Security Compliance Team.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the CSO in maintaining compliance with Contract Security Program (CSP) and the DO with the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) requirements. Assist with internal audits, inspections, and preparation for government security assessments. Apply and support site security policies and procedures. Process visitor requests and access approvals in accordance with CSP/CGP requirements. Support access control administration and visitor tracking systems. Coordinate escort security controls, secure site access controls, and employee/visitor briefings as required. Administer and track mandatory CSP/CGP security training for employees. Facilitate new hire/on-boarding site security awareness and training program. Maintain security training records and support the delivery of security education and awareness programs. Assist and participate in surprise monthly audits and periodic self inspections required for maintaining government registrations and site security orders. Maintain security files, logs, and document control systems. Prepare reports related to access control, audits, incidents, and compliance activities. Support incident reporting and investigation documentation. Support the CSO in preparing the facility for audits and vulnerability assessments conducted by various government agencies. Assist in managing classified and controlled materials, ensuring proper handling, storage, and tracking. Support secure handling of information and assets in accordance with security requirements. Support presentations, training materials, site SOPs, and updates to internal forms and procedures. Assist with general administrative duties such as reporting, filing, and documentation management. Liaise with the Security Guard force to coordinate and implement the site security access controls.
Qualifications
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and CSP security clearance.
YOU MUST HAVE
Completion of secondary education. Minimum 2 years of experience in administration, with a preference for experience with the government and/or CSP/CGP environments. Ability to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Security Clearance (minimum Reliability, eligible for Secret). Ability to obtain Controlled Goods Program (CGP) clearance.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams). Experience with access control/badging systems (e.g., Keyscan/Aurora) is an asset. Familiarity with document control tools such as Adobe or OneNote is an asset. Knowledge of organizational activities related to federal government contracts. Self-driven, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team. Experience working in a dynamic team environment. Excellent organizational and task prioritization skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The annual base salary range for this position is $51,500 to $68,700 in Cambridge, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
