Job Description We are currently searching for a Structural Designer/Technologist for our Calgary office.
The successful candidate will work with Designers, Engineers, and Technologists to provide design and drafting services in accordance with company and client standards. The work will be performed for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on water projects, including water supply, water and wastewater treatment, reservoirs, lift stations, civil infrastructure, buildings, and pumping stations. There will be opportunities to cross over into other discipline areas as well.

Role description and requirements:
- Collaborate with Engineers and Designers in creating 2D and 3D designs
- Reviewing Drawing Packages
- Providing support on design development
- Coordinating and Communicating with Multidiscipline Technologists
- Develop and maintain project documentation frameworks
- Provide input on design details
- Take on CAD Design Lead on projects as required
Job Requirements
What you will bring:
- Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology
- Experience in computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting of Structural projects.
- Proficiency in Revit for Structures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft tools.
- Basic understanding and willingness to learn: Revit, Navisworks, Revizto and Sketchup. Experience in Revit for MEP is considered an asset.
- BIM knowledge will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of National and Provincial Building Codes is an asset.
- Experience in construction inspection is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Strong troubleshooting, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational and time-management skills.
- Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
- Driven to deliver high quality designs and self-motivated.
- Registration with ASET is an asset.
