This is a term position to May 1, 2026, located in Hay River, NT
As a member of the Customer Care Team this position is the primary contact for customers with the Corporation. The purpose of this position is to allow the Customer Care Team to meet its goals of responding to customer inquiries, receiving customer payments, processing customer movements and safeguarding the Corporations receivable assets through timely collection activity in a professional manner and in a safe and secure environment. This position also undertakes various administrative tasks to aid the regional generation group.
- Act as main point of contact between customers and the Power Corporation
- Accept payments and accurately enter on account.
- Respond in a comprehensive manner to all customer inquires in person, over the phone and by written communication.
- Accurate and timely completion of customer service orders.
- Complete the collections process on the scheduled dates.
- Utilize critical thinking and sound judgement in responding to customers and to identify urgent issues.
- Responding to inquiries which may include questions about billing statements and account changes.
- High school diploma/GED (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced, customer service call center setting. Equivalencies may be considered.
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of customer service practices and principles.
- Must have experience receiving payments via cash, debit and credit cards.
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must be able to demonstrate superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle high stress situations appropriately.
- Must have a Class 5 driver's license.
- Must undergo a successful criminal records check.
Salary for this position ranges from $39.03/hr-$47.46/hr. plus a location allowance of approximately $3,823 per annum. We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes health and dental benefits, long-term disability, life insurance, paid sick days and a defined benefits pension plan.

NTPC's facilities include hydroelectric, diesel, and LNG (liquified natural gas) generation plants, transmission systems and numerous isolated electrical distribution systems. NTPC also owns and operates alternative energy assets used for the supply of residual heat, solar power and co-generation.
The Corporation’s systems serve a population of approximately 43,000 in an area of 1.3 million square kilometers. Many of the communities NTPC serves are only accessible by air, barge or winter road.
