Job Description
We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, as our new General Manager, Outlets. Creating an engaging work environment for colleagues of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is as important as turning moments into memories for our guests.
As a General Manager, Outlets you will provide vision and leadership that fosters an engaged team and ensures quality, efficiency and superior service. This position will be responsible for the effective and efficient day to day operation of a fast paced premier dining establishment.
What you will be doing
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Assistant Director, Food & Beverage, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Responsible for the service excellence and efficient day to day operation Oversee the recruitment, mentorship and development of department leaders, and employees Actively coach all employees to ensure that superior guest service is the primary focus Participate in monthly forecasting and month end commentary Perform other duties as directed by the Director of Food & Beverage or Hotel Management
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include
Minimum five years of senior experience in Food & Beverage Management
Strong beverage, culinary and wine knowledge required “Proserve” Certified Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Windows programs Minimum of one year experience in a high volume bar setting, preferably in a full service four or five diamond property is a strong asset but not required Experience with Silverware is preferred Post-secondary degree in Hospitality or Food and Beverage Management an asset
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
