About the role

Cam Clark Automotive Group is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead our Cam Clark Ford store located in Red Deer, AB. The ideal candidate will have well-developed leadership skills, and exceptional interpersonal skills with a desire to drive success across all areas of the business, with a transparent, customer focused approach.

If you’re a strategic, people-centered operator with a track record of transforming performance and developing high-performing leadership teams, we want to meet you.

About the role:

As Senior General Manager, you will serve as the dealership’s executive leader—responsible for overall performance, long-term sustainability, and alignment with OEM and Cam Clark Automotive Group standards. You will provide strong, transparent leadership that elevates accountability, enhances customer experience, and strengthens collaboration across Sales, Service, Parts, Finance, and Bodyshop.

This role reports directly to the Managing Partner and is ideal for a senior leader with ambition, operational sharpness, and the ability to build a winning culture.

You will be accountable for:

  • Providing daily leadership, guidance, and support to all department managers to achieve dealership goals.
  • Ensuring consistent adherence to company processes, safety protocols, and ethical business practices.
  • Executing sales strategy to achieve profitability and monthly performance targets.
  • Maintaining accountability for department level KPIs, ensuring collaboration and communication between all functional leaders.
  • Managing inventory performance in collaboration with department leaders.
  • Conducting structured check-ins with department leaders, including Sales, Finance, Service, Parts, and Bodyshop.
  • Fostering a culture of coaching, accountability, and continuous learning across all departments.
  • Conducting regular 1-1’s with department leaders and identifying development opportunities.
  • Creating and sustaining a culture that actively engages employees, fostering behaviours that directly translate into exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Championing a culture of transparency and professionalism.
  • Reviewing and responding to any customer satisfaction metrics to identify areas of improvement.
  • Other duties as required.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience overseeing multi-department operations (Sales, Service, Parts, F&I).
  • Proven ability to lead leaders, not just teams – driving performance through structure, coaching, and disciplined processes.
  • Strong financial literacy with experience managing store financials, OEM reporting, and KPIs.
  • Proven success improving customer satisfaction, staff engagement, and profitability.
  • High energy leader with disciplined execution and a hands-on leadership presence.
  • Proficiency in dealership management systems (DMS), CRM platforms, and data driven reporting tools.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, decision making, and organizational skills, with the ability to execute effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Post secondary education in Business, Management, or related field preferred.
  • Valid AMVIC or equivalent licence.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.

What We Offer: We offer a supportive work environment where dealership leaders work with the executive team to drive results and ensure success for all parties. Other benefits include:

  • Industry-leading compensation and performance-driven incentives
  • Partnership opportunities for top-performing executives
  • Comprehensive health benefits & LTD coverage
  • Vehicle allowance
  • Ongoing training and executive development programs
  • A values-driven culture with strong support from ownership and the executive team
